While Universes Beyond products are controversial within the MTG sphere, one thing they do really well is expand our beloved game’s reach. Many fans of other specific franchises have since become immersed in the Magic universe following various crossovers.
With the upcoming Marvel Super Heroes set, it appears Wizards is broadening their appeal even further. Multiple new promo cards will become available this summer at various locations, including Disneyland. If you’re a theme park enthusiast like many others, here’s how you can find some especially flavorful MTG promos.
Three New Promos

Beginning June 19th, any attendee who purchases MTG Marvel Super Heroes products at select Disney locations will receive a gorgeous Command Tower promo while supplies last. With art showcasing the Guardians of the Galaxy Fortress that overtook the iconic Tower of Terror ride, this promo is a perfect thematic crossover.
Considering this, it shouldn’t be too surprising that this promo will be available at the Avengers Reserve at Disneyland California. There are also play events taking place at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim from June 19th-21st, available even to those without a park ticket. If you aren’t on the West Coast, you can also find this promo at Disney’s Wonderful World of Memories at Walt Disney World in Florida, and in a handful of other Disney stores.
Interestingly, similar events will be available at Tokyo Disneyland in Japan from June 20th-21st, but with Loki, God of Mischief as the promo of choice. This is the same Villain that will be appearing at MagicCon: Amsterdam July 17th-19th, giving players another opportunity to pick it up. With tons of Modern potential, this draw engine might be surprisingly expensive.
If these two promos weren’t enough, players can even get their hands on a Shuri, Wakandan Inventor promo at D23. This Disney-themed convention takes place at Anaheim from August 14th-16th. While It’s unclear exactly how these promos will be distributed, more information should be made available soon.
